The Vignette Transfer Tool is provided as a complimentary module for customers who have a current Vignette Content Management License agreement for a version supported by VTT.

About Vignette Transfer Tool, version 7.1

Vignette Transfer Tool 7.1 is designed to reduce the time and effort required to replicate environments.  VTT enables you to transfer content and extensions from a source VCM environment to a compatible target VCM environment. 
For example, it enables you to transfer content and extensions from a development environment to a QA environment, or from a production environment to a test environment. VTT can also provide a convenient way to test upgrade procedures on a replicated version of a production environment.
Vignette Transfer Tool can be used to transfer:
•    System and customer content
•    Custom extensions
New in Vignette Transfer Tool 7.1 is support for VCM 7.5 and VCM 7.5 SP1 which were not supported in the initial version 7.0 release of the Vignette Transfer Tool.

Supported Versions

Vignette Transfer Tool 7.1 supports transferring content and extensions for:
•    Vignette Content Management 7.3.0.5 SP2, 7.3.1, 7.3.1 SP1, 7.3.1.1, 7.3.1.1 SP1, 7.4, 7.4 SP1, 7.5, and 7.5 SP1
•    Dynamic Site and Dynamic Portal Modules versions 2.0.4, 2.0.5, 2.0.6, 2.0.7, and 7.5
